Automated Simulations in Polymer Processing:
From Extrusion to Blow Molding

In this webinar, we present the widest spectrum of automated simulations for polymer processing, showcasing how modern FVM- and FEM-based workflows can optimize industrial processes across extrusion, injection molding, and extrusion blow molding. 

IANUS Simulation will demonstrate its integrated and cloud-ready workflows for extrusion (single-/twin-screw and profile die design) and injection molding (hot runner, filling, packing, cooling, and warpage). These automated workflows drastically reduce setup effort, accelerate simulation throughput, and support scalable process optimization without heavy local hardware demands.


Our guest speaker, Prof. Miguel Nóbrega (Institute for Polymers and Composites, University of Minho), will provide insights into extrusion blow molding, with a special focus on the mold clamping and inflation phases. These critical stages strongly influence part geometry, thickness distribution, and structural performance - and simulation enables engineers to predict and optimize them reliably.
