Finding the right pump design for a specific application can be very demanding. Out of experience, a (small) selection of impellers (together with a housing) being potential candidates probably can be derived straightforward. But making the decision on a final design may not be that easy.
By means of the Centrifugal Pumps-simulation product of StrömungsRaum®, the performance curves (head, efficiency, etc) of existing pump designs can easily be computed and compared with low effort in time and ressources. Having the corresponding simulation result data at hand, a well-founded selection of a certain pump design can be made. At the same time, full 3D insight into the simulation results of each characteristic point is supplied.
All of this is enabled by a hyper-automated, easy-to-use cloud-based simulation product, which takes over the challenging task of pre- and post-processing the geometry and simulation data, respectively. As a vision, the system will be extended to generate pump designs perfectly addressing the needs of the application at hand.
