Upon request, at IANUS we take over the complete development of your pump in our simulation department. Thanks to state-of-the-art simulation technologies, time-consuming iteration loops in reality are no longer necessary - only the manufacturing of the final product remains. Critical topics such as cavitation, NPSH, and pressure build-up are precisely checked and optimized. The result: A pump perfectly tailored to your process, guaranteeing the highest efficiency and reliability.
Approach
With the partnership package, we fully optimize the pump from a single source. First, flow simulations are conducted to ensure the pump exhibits no cavitation, dead zones, excessive leakage flows, or efficiency-reducing turbulence. This involves defining both the impeller and the internal contour of the casing, representing a classic flow simulation, and, if necessary, also AI-driven. Once this is complete, our designers, often in collaboration with the customers' designers, proceed to the detailed construction of the impeller and casing. Here, material-specific manufacturing restrictions (e.g., draft angles) are considered. The casing is then checked for leaks using FEM simulation and further adjusted if necessary. Thanks to the possibility of simulation, we can make countless modifications to the impeller, thereby also demonstrating the energetic and process technology optimum - all without laboratory test runs.
