SCALEXA: The revolution in high-performance computing and the future of StrömungsRaum®
“Think big” is and will remain our motto. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of being invited to the SCALEXA meeting at the University of Dortmund, alongside renowned universities and research institutions. At this inspiring gathering, important progress and shared goals regarding our StrömungsRaum project were discussed.
SCALEXA is a funding program by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), aimed at supporting 15 collaborative research projects in the field of software and technology development in the ExaFlop range of High-Performance Computing (HPC). The program focuses on scalability and innovative methods to efficiently run applications and simulations on future Exascale and high-performance computing systems. The overarching goal is to enable the application of Exascale technology, thus pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the HPC sector.
Our StrömungsRaum project plays a significant role in this unique research initiative. Our industry cloud platform, StrömungsRaum, is being specifically optimized for the next generation of Exascale hardware. This allows us to effectively run applications and simulations on future high-performance computers and fully leverage the power of Exascale technology. We are proud to be a part of this groundbreaking project and look forward to the times ahead.
The BMBF supports a pioneering funding program with SCALEXA, driving progress in Exascale technology and its application in high-performance computing. As part of this program and with our StrömungsRaum project, we have the opportunity to align the performance and scalability of our industry cloud platform with the next generation of high-performance computers. We are proud to be part of this cutting-edge research and look forward to shaping the future of high-performance computing.
