Development of a simulationbased assistant for the extrusion (ExtrA)

In this project, a simulationbased assistant will be developed to get automated information for the optimization of the production process. We will combine expertise knowledge about the plastics producing processes with live computer simulations to generate data which will help optimizing the processes.

On the basis of different methods like fuzzy-logic, machine learning, deep Learning etc. which help to interact with all the data being collected from the different type of the process like extruder, die, calibration etc. the machine user will be able to find the best way of using it all due to the different simulation results.

This project is being funded throughout the European Union and the land of North Rhine-Westphalia.
