IANUS stands for “industriell angewandte Numerik und Simulation” – industrially applied numerics and simulation. We combine research, domain-specific simulation with AI support and industrial application – so that companies obtain a reliable basis for decisions, even when their own simulation resources are lacking or insufficient.
We make sure that our customers can trust simulation results just as much as an experienced colleague. To do so, we bring the latest research into industrial practice and develop solutions that can be integrated into existing development processes – regardless of whether a company has its own simulation experts or not.
In this way, we help companies to make well-founded decisions earlier and to avoid expensive mistakes.
Scientific substance also comes from critical review. That is why we regularly have our work assessed by a technical advisory board: professors as well as senior figures from industry and research who challenge our approaches technically and help develop them further.

AI simulation develops further when science and industrial practice stay in dialogue. That is why we cooperate with universities and research institutions across Europe – from TU Dortmund to University College Dublin.
What comes out of these partnerships in practice – from ongoing projects to digital twins – is shown on our research page.
